Maritime Law

1. Collecting and archiving of Maritime Laws of Somalia.
2. Studying, highlighting and recommending ways to implement or revise the country’s maritime laws.
3. Educating and disseminating Maritime Laws in the country, especially those involved in marine production.
4. Awareness and interest in International Maritime Laws, such as: UNCLOS, MARPOL, SOLAS… ETC.
5. Working with International Organizations of the seas such as: IMO, FAO, UNEP… ETC
6. Monitoring and taking advantage of the decisions of the International Meetings of the Oceans.
7. Advising the Government on Maritime Law matters.
8. Monitoring the level of implementation of the Maritime Law of the Central Government and the Regional Governments.
9. Teaching participation in the Academy
